Our less-than-truckload (LTL) services for general freight and non-perishable food products has also been the heart of our business for many years. Our longevity and success as a BC carrier have allowed us to establish a comprehensive network of strategically located facilities that serve over 600 communities across the province. With our extensive experience and reach, Clark Freightways can satisfy all of your LTL transportation requirements.
Many people think we’re strictly a perishable-goods transport provider. But we’ve been moving dry goods through our “General Freight” operation since
obtaining our license from the (now defunct) Motor Carrier Commission in
the early ‘80s. Around the same time, we changed our operating name from
“Clark Reefer Lines Ltd.” to the present-day “Clark Freightways”, and we did
so partly to reflect our newly-expanded menu of freight services.

- A strategic network of service centers to support the efficient and reliable distribution of general freight and non-perishable less-than-truckload (LTL) services to over 600 communities throughout BC
- We understand Just-in-Time (JIT) shipping requirements. Inventory costs money to hold and to store, and many of our customers require their dry good sales stock overnight. Rest assured, we handle dry goods with the same urgency as we do perishables
- If your supplier ships it today, even if he gets his orders out late in the day you can expect Clark Freightways on your doorstep tomorrow – even if you need it early
- General Freight used to be defined as “anything sold in a general store”, but today the term encompasses virtually anything that can be moved in an enclosed trailer (except Hazardous Materials. We don’t transport those)
- Overnight service to most communities within BC, including Saturdays
- A large modern P&D fleet equipped with GPS dispatching and wireless hand-held computers, providing real-time shipment and delivery detail
- Direct-to-store-deliveries (DSD), and other customized LTL distribution solutions to meet your needs
- Cross docking and local overnight deliveries
- Save time and money using our interactive Web Bill of Lading – create your BOL’s on-line within seconds, create templates for recurring orders, print labels and archive BOL’s for historical analysis
- Schedule and create pickups on-line at your convenience, and receive a booking confirmation and shipment tracking details
- Trace orders using your own reference, bill of lading, or purchase order number
