Position: Accounts Payable Clerk (Full-time)
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all vendors and duties include: matching, coding and processing invoices, data entry, handling vendor inquiries, reconciliation of vendor statements, and cheque runs.

This individual is responsible for maintaining a high level of professional service and customer satisfaction in all interactions with internal and external customers.

  • Processing and data entry of invoices including matching invoices with back-up documentation, recording vendor number and G/L code for approval
  • Handling cheques by verifying data with printed reports and matching invoices. Also, prints payables’ cheque run and distributes for signature with back-up and maintains tracking sheet
  • Maintaining additions and disposal for Fixed Asset Subledger. Runs G/L reports for fixed asset accounts and writes up fixed asset addition cover sheets for each asset and attaches invoices and supporting documents for approval. Enters each asset into Fixed Asset Subledger and prepares year end working papers for Fixed Assets
  • Quarterly Reconciliation of G/L accounts including reconciliation, running reports, following up on any discrepancies and writing up correcting journal entries or chargebacks
  • Processing credit card statements in a timely manner to meet due date including G/L coding
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable support and miscellaneous duties including processing line and town lease operators’ payables and daily posting of A/R deposits
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned
Requirements:
  • One to three years’ accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software
  • Proficient and accurate data entry experience
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proven ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates professional demeanour, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently, problem solve and be attentive to details

Position: Traffic Manager 
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Duties and Responsibilities: 

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our Executive Management Team as Traffic Manager, working out of our Coquitlam location.

This team member will join a roundtable of executive management peers who are responsible for directing the organization. You will participate in the collaborative building and execution of our Strategic Business Plans with the other department heads: Operations, Business Development, Finance, Accounting, Administration, Human Resources, and Fleet Management.

The Traffic Manager’s role is to support the corporate objectives of protecting/improving margins while staying competitive in our pricing. The position’s core functions are the preparation of new account proposals, maintenance of our costing model, review and adjustment of existing agreements, ongoing margin analysis of key accounts, P&L analysis of service lanes and schedules, tracking of competitive trends, ensuring tariffs are current and relevant, and providing pricing/margin input for annual budgeting.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and highly analytical
  • Strong knowledge of LTL freight-handling requirements
  • Advanced user of Excel, Word. Some experience with TMS platforms (e.g. TruckMate) an asset
  • Relevant post-secondary professional certification (ie CITT) is an asset

Position: Warehouse Worker (Full-time evening hours)
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Receive and/or sort freight in a warehouse environment and use judgment and discretion to load and secure freight to ensure damage-free transit to destination cities
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and performs tasks in a safe, injury free manner with due care and attention at all times
  • Communicates effectively in a team environment and complies with all company procedures, rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • Applicants must possess:
    • a minimum grade 10 equivalency including basic math skills and the ability to calculate shipment cubes
    • steel toe boots and safety vest
    • possess sound judgment, common sense and a strong work ethic
  • Applicants must have competent written and spoken communication skills in the English language sufficient to perform the various tasks and requirements of the job, including but not limited to:
    • strong customer service skills
    • the ability to complete all associated paperwork
  • Previous warehousing or forklift experience would be a definite asset as well as a strong geographical knowledge of BC.

Position: Class 1 Company Line Haul Driver 
Location: Prince George, BC
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials over long distances
  • Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage temperatures
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books
  • Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices
Requirements:
  • Must be able to drive at night and be available for various shifts and destinations
  • Complies with company procedures, rules and regulations
  • Class 1 License with clean driver’s abstract is required
  • 6 -12 months of previous Class 1 mountain driving experience required
  • Previous reefer experience is a definite asset
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Positive attitude and presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under stress
